Privacy policy
Effective September 21, 2026 · Applies to MyReceiptKeeper for iOS and this website.
Your receipt collection is stored on your device. Receipt text recognition runs on the device, and the app does not upload your receipt collection to a MyReceiptKeeper server.

Receipt information stored on your device
The app stores the receipt photos you add, recognized text, purchase details, notes, return and warranty dates, and related reminder information. This information is used to show and search your collection and provide the features you choose. No account is required, and the app does not provide cloud synchronization.
On-device receipt reading
The iOS app uses Apple's Vision framework to recognize text in receipt images locally. Photos are not sent to an external AI or OCR service for recognition. The app retains recognized text with the receipt so you can review it and search it. Recognition can be inaccurate; you control the details you save.
Permissions and notifications
Camera access lets you photograph a receipt. Photo-library access lets you select receipt images. Notification permission lets the app schedule local deadline reminders. You can change these permissions in your device's Settings. Manual receipt entry is available without camera or photo-library access. Reminder previews may reveal receipt details on your lock screen, depending on your notification settings.
Sharing, exports, and device backups
When you choose to share or export a photo, iOS sends it to the destination you select. The destination's privacy practices then apply. App data may also be included in device or iCloud backups depending on your Apple settings; those services are controlled by Apple and you, not by MyReceiptKeeper.
Advertising and analytics
The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or a third-party analytics service. Apple may process purchase, download, diagnostic, or TestFlight feedback information under its own settings and privacy terms. If you send beta feedback or crash information through TestFlight, Apple may make that information available to the developer.
If you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and follow up on your request. Email providers process those messages to deliver and store them. Do not include sensitive receipt information unless needed for your request. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to address the request, maintain relevant support records, or meet applicable obligations. You may contact us to request deletion of your support correspondence.
Storage, deletion, and your choices
Local receipt information stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Deleting a receipt removes its record and attempts to remove its stored photo; the app reports if photo removal fails. Deleting the app removes its local collection. Exported copies, images in your Photos library, and device backups are managed separately and are not erased when a receipt is deleted inside the app. We cannot retrieve a receipt collection that is only stored on your device. You can review and edit receipt details, export photos, delete records, and control permissions through the app and your device settings.
This website
This is an informational website with no receipt uploads, account signup, or contact form. We have not added advertising or analytics scripts. The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and access logs, to deliver and secure the website. Clicking an email link opens your email application; no message is sent until you send it.
Security
Receipt files are stored in the app's device storage. Keep your device protected with a passcode and up-to-date software, and choose export destinations carefully. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
MyReceiptKeeper is a general-purpose receipt organizer and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can address it.
